Just started 2 days ago, upon booting after the desktop loads I get a box that states can not find PCL5ERES.DLL. Then tell me to insert Windows XP CD. I do not have the CD. I have had this system for years and never had this occur. Did not add new printer or any new software.
I checked the net with lots of site to download this dll file. Don't know if it is safe. Running Window XP home edition. Any help would be appreciated. Is this file even needed, as I just cancel the box out and my system seems to be working fine! Thanks |

Do you have any existing printers installed?
If so, try reinstalling or updating the drivers. Also, look in C:\Windows\System32 to see if you have the PCL5ERES.DLL file there. If you don't see it try downloading from http://dll.webzila.com and then save it to the folder. Reboot the computer and see what happens. -------------------- Steve -- MCP, A+, I-Net +, Blackberry
