I run a P4 1.5 Gig with 512 Ram, Win2K Pro and a 40 Gig HD. Every time I use my contact list to add or edit, I get an error from the program saying it will now be closed by windows. This is a pain in the butt. I can't uninstall it and then reinstall like I did with Win 98 because there is no such option. Short of reinstalling the OS which is a bigger pain, can anyone help me on how to repair it? I can't believe Uncle Bill devised a program without allowing for this contingency. Any and all suggestios are appreciated and respected. BTW. I put this on the board at PcPitstop and no one could come up with anything short of me going into some advanced stuff which I am not and cannot do. Thank you very much.

Are you having a problem with Outlook Express or the Windows Address Book?
You can go to microsoft.com and download IE 6 SP1 If that doesnt help, can you post the exact error message that youre getting. -------------------- Steve -- MCP, A+, I-Net +, Blackberry

Hi there. It says MSIMN.EXE has generated errors and will now be closed by windows. An error log is being created.I think that it may be the address book because this happens every time I check for properties of an entry in it.It also creates a dump of 60 MB. I don't know if this means anything but when I put my pointer on the Outlook Express Icon and the path is ahown, it tells me that it's coming from my D drive which is my backup and not my C drive. Also, when I try to send something by right clicking, as soon as I click send, I get the dialogue box saying the server is not responding. ACH!! it's getting to be so annoying, I feel like just scrubbing it and use the web mail that comes with my ISP. Now, I just checked the program again and it's saying that it did not shutdown properly. Pain in the BUTT. Thank you.

Do Upgrade, not necessary, possible your OE is damaged and files find in it too, if all so, i advise you repairing outlook express, know how repairing folders of Outlook Express, has prompted you a path where are stored repared Outlook Express folder, repairing of the attached files are obligatory and dbx files with a 2Gb problem.
